Emma Peura on kuvataiteilija, joka työskentelee jäljen ja aineen kysymysten sekä luonnonprosessien parissa. Hän käsittelee teoksissaan juurettomuuden tunnetta ja henkilöhistoriaansa hänelle merkityksellisten paikkojen kautta. Peura työskentelee yhteistyössä ja vuorovaikutuksessa ympäristön kanssa. Materiaalit, joista Peuran teokset koostuvat, sekä tekniikat joilla teokset on valmistettu kertovat omalta osaltaan teosten sisältöjä ja merkityksiä. Hän tekee taidetta yhdessä metsän kanssa kehittämillään Metsäsyövytys- ja Suosyövytysmenetelmillä. Hän kerää luonnonmateriaaleja joista valmistaa pigmenttejä ja paperia teoksiaan varten. Emma Peura on valmistunut kuvataiteen maisteriksi Taideyliopiston Kuvataideakatemiasta 2020.
Hänen töitään on ollut esillä mm. Nykytaiteen museo Kiasmassa, Mäntän kuvataideviikoilla sekä Lappeenrannan, Jyväskylän ja Kouvolan taidemuseoissa. Hänen teoksiaan on mm. Kiasman ja Valtion taideteostoimikunnan kokoelmissa. Hän on Helsingin Paperipaja ry:n perustajajäsen ja hänellä on ollut näyttelytoimintaa Suomessa ja ulkomailla vuodesta 2011.

Emma Peura is a visual artist who works with questions of trace and matter as well as nature’s processes. In her works, she deals with the feeling of rootlessness and her personal history through places that are meaningful to her. Peura works in collaboration and interaction with the environment. The materials that Peura's works consist of, and the techniques with which the works are made, tell their own part of the content and meanings of the works. She makes art together with the forest using the Forest Etching and Swamp Etching methods she has developed. She collects natural materials from which she makes pigments and papers for her works. Emma Peura graduated with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2020.
Her works have been exhibited in Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Mänttä Art Festival, as well as the art museums of the cities of Lappeenranta, Jyväskylä and Kouvola, Finland. Her works are in the collections of Kiasma and Finnish State Art Deposit, to name a few. She is a founding member of the papermaking workshop and association Helsingin Paperipaja ry. She has held exhibitions in Finland and abroad since 2011.
